Trust Your Instincts

Thwart

As I stepped off the curb a feeling that I cannot describe, “enveloped my soul.” A premonition or intuition? I do not know. It was definitely, “something, strange.”

I looked up on the dark street and a shadow behind a tree, was glaring from the streetlamps. I imagined this person was hiding, perhaps waiting, for “the exact person, moment, to jump out and surprise someone.”

I had no intention of finding out anymore of it, I could report “later.” Now, I needed to thwart my routine path and “quickly move,” before this stranger, approached me. Needless, to say, I ran faster than I ever thought I could.
